Woman to woman: a day in makeup

Hello, Gentle Reader!

The editorial staff here at Conversational is delighted to bring you the Style Issue this month, and we thought we’d kick it off with one of our favorite topics: beauty products. To know us personally is to know how very different each of us is. We share common ground, but we always have unique opinions, differing personal goals, and truly unique senses of style.

Erin, the Editor

She’s our beacon of Parisienne chic. Effortless, classic, minimal, tailored, just a hint of quirk. She has the skin of an eight year old, the hair of The Little Mermaid, and requires very little to enhance her high cheekbones and milky complexion. Behold, the editor who is so perfectly edited.

Katy, the Manager

She’s our rock-n-roll, momma of cool. Edgy, product-junkie, experimental, 90s lover, vavavoom. She embodies everything fierce and fabulous, and isn’t afraid to try new looks. She’s the kind of person you imagine feels comfortable in any setting from church to a drag show. I present the manager who isn’t afraid to manage your ass.

Jena, the Creator

She’s our all frills, never-shys-away-from-a-bow-or-sequin, full lash, full glam, makeup enthusiast who has never attempted an all-natural look in her life. She missed her opportunity to be a 1940s movie star, and settles for trying to embody their femininity. We present our creator, who’s trying desperately to recreate a life of true glamour.

And you?

Please share some of your favorite products with us! We love to try new things, and would love to continue sharing our favorite products with you each month. What are we missing out on? What are your trade secrets? Who are your favorite beauty gurus? We can’t get enough of this stuff, so help us feed the beast.
