Here are the responses:

I’m 35, and nobody told me I would still feel like I’m playing grown-up. When do I start feeling like an adult? And will I ever have the financial stability for kids? A mortgage? Well-tailored clothing?
— Sara Jane

I’m 25, and nobody told me how intentional you have to be to maintain friendships at this stage in life. Also, the friends you need to let go are the ones who aren’t intentional with keeping up with you.

I’m 34, and no one told me that Botox would be needed so early. I thought that was something you might consider in your 50’s. Nope. Very False. Wrinkles in your 30’s are a real thing. A lot of the people you see, walking around with their flawless, wrinkle-free face... newsflash, they’re getting Botox.

— Laura

I’m 45, and nobody told me that life was just winging it through bouts of exhaustion.

— Rebecca

I’m 36, what the hell is compound interest, and how does it work?

— Lindsay

I’m 62, and no one told me how much paperwork was involved in being an adult. No wonder teachers gave us so much “busy work” to do: preparation for adulthood.

— Beth

I’m 38, and no one ever told me how proud I would be as an adult for simply knowing the difference between to, two, and too!

— Krista

I’m 42, and nobody warned me that applying for TSA pre-check was basically giving them every single thing they would need to steal my identity in a place that looks like where you go to get your identity stolen.

— Ginny

I’m 35, and the world did not prepare me for how much you pay in taxes.

— Jessi

I’m 63 and no one told me that all that time I spent doing high impact exercises (trying to be in shape) when I was in my “prime” would cause osteoarthritis to be so much worse. Osteoarthritis is the “wear and tear” arthritis. Your joints pay you back for how you’ve treated them. In our youth we really never comprehend what we do our our human bodies will catch up to us in our older years.

— Sherry

I’m 48, and nobody told me that the symphony of crackles and pops in my joints would arrive this early. It’s alarming. I thought I’d have decades before the creaking started to get this bad.
